MENTAL PREPARATION LEADING UP TO YOUR FIGHT

in MMA

Having the right outlook is vital. Fighting is tough and understand it’s normal to get nervous before a fight. It’s important to control negative feelings as much as possible. Training properly and being in shape are great ways to feel less nervous. If you truly believe that you have done everything in your power to train for your fight, then you shouldn’t have any regrets, win or lose. Nervousness can cause an erratic heart rate and ultimately cause you to get tired more quickly during your fight. Leading up to my fights, I make sure that I surround myself with good people. I like to relax and watch movies. Just remember that if you feel yourself getting a little worked up just take a step back and take a deep breath. Stay loose and positive!
